Description: Developing ruby red colour, with golden reflections and excellent density. Very clean notes of maraschino cherries on the nose with undertones of spice and liquorice. Deep, slightly salty on the palate, with crunchy tannins and a beautiful persistent finish.

Production area: The vineyards are situated in the area surrounding Magrè, at the foot of a gentle slope and at an altitude of between 220 and 350 metres with a southern/south-eastern exposure. The white chalky gravel soils have a high content of humus.
Vinification: The LEVAD Merlot grapes are harvested by hand. After being carefully destemmed, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle pumping over. The wine is then aged in barriques for 12 months and in the bottle for a further year.
Food pairing: Perfect with meats, roasts and game.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential: more than 8 years.

The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
