Description: 
Cherry-red with a garnet shimmer. Pronounced aroma, intensity, fruity reminiscent to berries, spicy notes. Medium-bodied, quite intense on the palate, fruity, refined bitter. 

Grape variety: 
Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc (vinified as a field blend) - South Tyrol Alto Adige DOC 

Production area: 
Selected vineyard in Magreid/Magrè and Kurtatsch/Cortaccia at 240 to 350 metres a.s.l. (790 - 1,150 feet). Soils are gravelly with a high content of limestone. Warm microclimate with large temperature variations between day and night. 

Vinification: 
Maceration in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation partly in barriques, partly in concrete vessels and partly in stainless steel tanks. 

Food pairing: 
It is recommended with red meat such as beef and lamb, venison, game, all types of cheeses. 

Serving temperature: 
16 - 18°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 8 years. 

Bottle to: 
1500 ml - 150 cl - 1,5 lt. 

Allergens: 
Wine can contain sulphites.

The family estate Alois Lageder is a synonym for the highest standard of quality in viticulture and winemaking, for a sustainable, holistic corporate philosophy, and for a wide spectrum of cultural and artistic activities. Founded in 1823, and now directed by Alois Lageder and Alois Clemens Lageder, representing the fifth and sixth generation of family ownership, the estate combines tradition and innovation. The Alois Lageder assortment of wines represents the extraordinary diversity of the Alto Adige region and its wide range of grape varieties. The wines are made from grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the Lageder family - about 50 hectares - which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and from grapes grown in the vineyards owned by long-term partnering grape growers.
