The Hungarian white honey truffle, which belongs to the larger truffle family of sand or desert truffles, has had an incredible "career" in top restaurants from London to New York in recent years. This is due on the one hand to its exceptionally soft texture and on the other hand to the ten different types of sugar that give the honey truffle its sweet taste. This truffle is only found in Hungary, grows there in acacia forests on sand and is provided in unique quality as wild growth by the Trufo company. Trufo collects and processes these treasures with special care, so that they are used as the starting product for the honey truffle liqueur, which is not processed.
