Limone Limoncello lemon liqueur 70 cl 30% vol. Villa Laviosa
Description:
The colour of the bloodroot extract is rust red and since it is unfiltered, it has a slight cloudiness.
The flower is earthy and smells like the foliage of green vines.
The taste is startling and exotic, yet pleasant to the highest degree. An astringent note, a hint of tannin is discernible, and is reminiscent of the ripe fruit of the Chinese lychee tree.
The spirit is pleasantly mild, not too strong in alcohol and has a harmonious, long finish.
A tasty elixir with a stubborn flavour from the blood-red rootstock of the upright tormentil. Already used in ancient times against bleeding and for wound cleansing, it still conveys a feeling of beneficial healing power.
A small, yellow and inconspicuous flower from the rose family (Tormentilla erecta) is the substance for this exotic drink. The juice of the blood-red root has always been used in rural areas to cleanse the mouth, throat and intestines or against diarrhoea. The name bellyache herb (lat. "tormina = bellyache") or dysentery root point to this healing effect. Therefore, it was obvious to continue this tradition and produce an alcoholic extract from it. Only the neatly cleaned root is used, which is finely chopped and steeped in high-proof alcohol. Here, too, the sugar softens the unusual bitter substances and brings the fine, aromatic nuances of the root to the fore as a flavour carrier.

Alpen High Seppila
A small local company whose purpose is to produce high quality spirits and liqueurs using absolutely natural raw materials. All the aromas for grappas and liqueurs are extracted from different types of aromatic herbs, roots of precious plants or berries and fruits. After a cold maceration, digestion or evaporation, an aroma distillation often follows. They also use different hydrolates. The usual distillation after the alcoholic fermentation of the basic products is specifically renounced, as with this method most of the aromas and above all all the precious substances and active principles are eliminated. The alcohol used for grappa and liqueurs is an alcohol made from organic soft wheat, of the best quality, of Italian production, without the aftertaste of the raw material of origin, neutral par excellence. The peculiarity of the Alpen High® - Seppila process is to use the aforementioned alcohol as an organic solvent and with the help of various natural products to create a surprising and tasty fantasy of flavors.
