Description

Description:
The main colour of the drink is a soft green shade with a honey-yellow shimmer. It is clear and transparent.
The flower of the spirit is gentle and unobtrusive and reminds of the spicy scent of autumnal alpine meadows.
The taste is unique, surprising and overwhelming. One would not have expected this intensity from the sparse, mossy flower. The first sip suggests something fresh and green, or the pure clarity of glacier ice. Then you think you taste a tropical lime again, or the velvety, full-bodied sweetness of bee honey. Even vanilla, mint or butter come to mind for the searching gourmet... In the finish, the schnapps is round, mild and long-lasting. The overall impression is calm, balanced and velvety soft like the blossom itself, a firework of noble aromas.

Edelweiss, queen of the Alps. Its austere beauty promises honesty and purity. Soft and supple, your velvety bouquet caresses my palate, and your beguiling scent of green lime awakens soft emotions. Like a longing view of crystal clear glaciers, from the shore of a sunny lake.... without wind.

The beauty of the white alpine star has been described in countless variations and is probably known worldwide, but no one would have thought the actually inconspicuous flower had any taste. Recent studies in the wellness sector, however, have revealed astonishing results about many valuable substances. Tannins, flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acid and phenylpropane derivatives have astringent and anti-inflammatory effects. It is no coincidence that the edelweiss has long been used in the mountains as a medicinal plant for respiratory infections and against diarrhoea (stomachache flower). So the idea was born to immortalise this noble plant in a drink. Only the blossoms, the eternal stars, are used to produce this noble elixir. Collected in dangerous, exciting work on the dizzy heights of the South Tyrolean mountains, the legendary plant gives the spirit a unique and incomparable aroma. No superfluous ingredient, no spice is needed to refine this drink. Only an appropriate pinch of invert sugar really brings out the rare and full-bodied bouquet.

Producer:
Alpen High Seppila
A small local company whose purpose is to produce high quality spirits and liqueurs using absolutely natural raw materials. All the aromas for grappas and liqueurs are extracted from different types of aromatic herbs, roots of precious plants or berries and fruits. After a cold maceration, digestion or evaporation, an aroma distillation often follows. They also use different hydrolates. The usual distillation after the alcoholic fermentation of the basic products is specifically renounced, as with this method most of the aromas and above all all the precious substances and active principles are eliminated. The alcohol used for grappa and liqueurs is an alcohol made from organic soft wheat, of the best quality, of Italian production, without the aftertaste of the raw material of origin, neutral par excellence. The peculiarity of the Alpen High® - Seppila process is to use the aforementioned alcohol as an organic solvent and with the help of various natural products to create a surprising and tasty fantasy of flavors.
