Lagazuoi is formed by two distinct main reliefs, respectively called Piccolo Lagazuoi (2,778 m) and the backside Grande Lagazuoi (2,835 m). The massif is bounded to the south by the Falzarego Pass, to the west by the Valparola Pass, to the north by the Alpe di Fanes and the Val Travenanzes, and to the east by the Cima Falzarego-Col dei Bos complex and the Tofane massif, which separates it from the Ampezzo Valley. The massif is equipped with a cable car, which connects the Falzarego Pass with the Lagazuoi Hut on the Lagazuoi Piccolo. The galleries and the Italian and Austrian trenches of the Great War are today open to the public and can be freely visited, constituting an attraction of undoubted historical and excursionist interest.
