Description:
Langhe Nebbiolo is the pure expression of Nebbiolo: a fresh wine, conveying all the distinctive characteristics of the variety: fresh, pulpy fruit, intensity, drinkability. A fun and convivial wine, to drink with friends to discover a great variety interpreted in purity. The number on the label, 1661, in red, is a tribute to the farmers who cultivated the vineyards around the winery for more than four centuries. It is the date of a cadastral document that attests Brunella as an area suited to the production of great grapes for great wines.

It has a northern exposure and the soil is clay and limestone, with traces of sand.
Vinification:
Langhe Nebbiolo 1661 comes from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes that grow with a northern exposure. To this is added a selection of grapes from the youngest rows. Harvesting is manual and the bunches are selected on a sorting table. Cryomaceration is carried out for 24/48 hours. Afterwards, fermentation and maceration take place in steel, followed by a few months of ageing in oak barrels.
Food Pairing:
Meat, game and cured meats. If matured for several years it can be paired with almost any meal.
Serving temperature:
16 -18°C.
Ageing potential:
over 10 years.

Today the winery has 8 hectares under vine and finds its expression in Achille, the third of Elena and Silvano's four children. Achille has a clear vision: to seek the essence of Barolo through hard work in the vineyards, cultivated on soils that have their own distinctive character.
