Description:
Intense ruby red colour with beautiful density. Dense and subtle on the nose, with wild blackberries, blueberries, and gentle balsamic and herbal undertones. Deep and dense on the palate, with full-flavoured tannins and a gentle balsamic encore.

Production area:
The vineyards are situated in the area surrounding Magrè, at the foot of a gentle slope and at an altitude of between 220 and 350 metres with a southern/south-eastern exposure. The white chalky gravel soils have a high content of humus.
Vinification:
The LAFOT Cabernet Riserva grapes are harvested by hand. After being carefully destemmed, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle pumping over. The wine is then aged in barriques for 12 months and in the bottle for a further year.

Its rich facets and longlasting, fruity fi nish, make our Cabernet Riserva a powerful companion to savory dishes, red meats, game, pies and matured cheeses.

From a total of 370 acres of land, 140 winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the Nals Margreid Winery. Ecological awareness and a sense of quality influence their work and lead to the excellent harvests from which remarkable wines arise. The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
