Description:
Color: rich ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose: the wine carries intense aromas of red berrei, bilberries and raspberries, along with spicy notes of cocoa and coffee. In the mouth: a balanced expression of fine-grained tannins, and full-bodied, flavourful Elegance.
Grape variety:
66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot - Veneto IGT.
Production area:
the Cabernet sauvignon is from a 10.000 vines per hectar Vineyard in the Ferrata area, the Merlot is from the Villa Elettra Vineyard. Volcanic and tuffaceous hills.
Vinification:
manual harvested, tight selection of clusters, fermentation in small open top stainless steel tanks. Aging for 12 monts in new French oak barriques.
Food pairing:
Perfect with grilled or roasted red meats or aged cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
few more years.

For three generations the Maculan family has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes in Breganze, an enchanting village at the foot of the Asiago high plains, where the extremely mild climate favors the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The hills of Breganze provide an idea soil for grape varieties such as Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, tai and Vespaiolo and the production of very high quality wines.
