Description:
The Pinot Noir "Ludwig" shows its intense brilliant ruby color and an elegant concentration and refinement. The bouquet is characterized by fresh notes of cherries and red currants combined with spicy aromas with a touch of pepper and toasted notes. On the palate the wine releases all its body and elegance, with present tannins, a fruity and filigree structure and a harmonious game between delicate spicy notes and youthful, juicy freshness - with great potential and an inviting persistence.

Production area:
Glen vineyards above the village of Montagna and of Montagna itself, between 550 - 600m above sea level. The vineyard faces southwest and the soil is sandy with clayey parts. The area is ideal for Pinot Noir as the sun, not too hot, comes in the afternoon.
Vinification:
Fermentation in steel and partly in wood with 10-day maceration on the skins and subsequent malolactic fermentation in cask. Maturation in French oak barrels for a period of 12 months.
Food pairing:
It is recommended with light first and second courses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 8 years.
