Description:
Floral and fresh on the nose, with notes of mountain meadows followed by a soft, enveloping juniper. Dry on the palate: the botanicals open slowly, leaving a velvety sensation. The aromatics of the botanicals leave the palate fresh and balanced.
All the flavour of a "high altitude" gin, distilled by craft in "small batches" and enriched with the scents you breathe in when walking through the forests of the Dolomites of the Unesco World Heritage Site around Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The botanicals that characterise Cortina Mountain Gin make it a perfect gin and tonic, paired with a tonic with balsamic notes. Aficionados will find its purest expression in martini cocktails.
Botanicals:
Juniper, geranium, black blueberry, mint, rosemary, wild fennel, mountain pine.
Bottle of:
700 ml - 70 cl - 0.7 lt.
Producer:
Hotel de la Poste
The Hotel de la Poste was founded in 1804 as a post office and inn. With the Olympic Games in 1956, it became a prestigious destination. It has been run by the Manaigo family since the early years and today boasts the exclusive distinction of being a "locale storico d'Italia" (Historic Building of Italy).
Cortina Mountain Gin and Cortina Ice Vodka were invented by Gherardo Manaigo, the current owner of the hotel. He developed the recipe and personally selected the best ingredients representing the forests and mountains of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
