Cleopatra Oro is a line of grappa from Poli Distillerie, obtained from the freshest marcs and characterised by extreme fineness and aromatic purity, obtained by distillation under vacuum with a unique system: Crysopea.
Cleopatra, to whom this line of grappa is dedicated, was the ancient Egyptian alchemist who created the first still in history capable of distilling the most precious of metals, gold, which she named Crysopea (from Greek chrysos, gold, and poirò, to make).
In the 21st century, a new Crysopea, the most innovative vacuum bain-marie still in operation today, was reborn at the Poli Distillery.
With the Crysopea, Poli distils the Moscato Bianco marcs from the Euganean Hills into Cleopatra Moscato Oro, an aromatic grappa that is then patiently stored in the underground cellars of the Poli Distillery, where the barriques rest for the natural maturation of the distillates.
Serving temperature:
10 - 15°C in a tulip-shaped glass.

The Poli Jacopo distillery is an artisanal grappa distillery owned exclusively by the Poli family and founded in 1898 in Schiavon near Bassano del Grappa in the heart of Veneto, Italy. The distillery is currently run by Jacopo Poli together with his siblings Giampaolo, Barbara and Andrea.
