Rainbow Trout Roe, collected only between the months of November and February using a method that is gentle on the fish, is salted by hand and preserved naturally without artificial colourants or preservatives. The trouts producing this roe are bred and fed using natural methods and must be at least 2 to 3 years of age.
Crisp in the mouth, bright red in colour and with a balanced flavour, Rainbow Trout Roe is an excellent alternative to traditional caviar. It is ideal as an appetiser, as a toast topping and for garnishing pasta dishes with fish.
