Descrizione:
Per il Lagrein Riserva vengono selezionate le uve migliori maturate su ceppi vecchi. Il vino matura in piccole e medie botti di rovere. Si mette in bottiglia un vino rosso intenso, robusto, con inteni profumi di piccoli frutti, pieno, con tannino marcato, morbido e ben integrato.

Ad Aslago, nella zona soprastante al maso, le viti sono coltivate su terreni di origine profirica, Sotto lo strato porfirico si trovano morene glaciali che sono ancora esplorati dalle radici della vite e danno ai vini la grande mineralità. In questa zona calda e soleggiata crescono vini eleganti e strutturati dotati di grande finezza e longevità.
Vinificazione:
Vinificazione in vasca d'acciaio. Maturazione in piccole botti di rovere per 12-18 mesi.

La zona è costellata di castelli, chiese e palazzi e ai piedi del versante meridionale del Virglberg si trova una fattoria millenaria, dove passione, attenzione e pazienza diventano vini di prim'ordine che ostentano con orgoglio la loro posizione e identità varietale. Benvenuti al Thurnhof! La cantina di circa 3,5 ettari a sud di Bolzano è stata citata in un documento nel XII secolo ed è stata per secoli proprietà del clero. Quando Ignaz Mumelter acquistò la fattoria a metà del XIX secolo, la cantina era di proprietà della famiglia ed è ora gestita da Andreas Berger alla sesta generazione. Sul Virglberg, Schiava, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon e Goldmuskateller prosperano sui caldi terreni di porfido, che colpiscono per la loro eleganza e mineralità. Nel fondovalle di Bolzano, Goldmuskateller e Lagrein sviluppano dimensioni e intensità, mentre nelle quote più alte il Sauvignon sviluppa razza e finezza.
