Description:
Bright straw yellow, nice depth. On the nose pineapple, pink grapefruit, kiwi, fresh hay and a hint of thyme. On the palate, compact, full-bodied, spicy and with salty length.

Production area:
The historical Sirmian vineyard, on the slopes of Nals, has soils of exceptional mineral richness (moraine soils with porphyry, marble, gneiss, mica and chalk). Cool summers and mild autumns, caused by the Alpine climate of the area, enable a late harvest in mid- October, which is ideal for our Pinot Blanco.
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested by hand. After a brief period of pre-fermentation maceration, the clarified must is fermented for around three weeks in 12 and 30 hl wooden barrels. Afterwards, the young wine is aged on the lees for a further eight months.
Food pairing:
An excellent aperitif and ideal companion to starters, pasta and fish.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.

1500 ml - 150 cl - 1,5 lt.

From a total of 370 acres of land, 140 winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the Nals Margreid Winery. Ecological awareness and a sense of quality influence their work and lead to the excellent harvests from which remarkable wines arise. The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
