Zona:
Vigneti selezionati nelle zona di Gleno (frazione di Montagna) a 550 - 700m s.l.m. Il microclima unico in questa altitudine consente la raccolta tardiva di uve sanissime. Le elevate escursioni termiche (15°C tra giorno e notte) nell' ultima fase di maturazione aumentano il potenziale aromatico su questa varietá delicatissima. Terreni profondi e argillosi con diversi contenuti di sabbia.

60 hl per ettaro.
Vinificazione:
i grappoli vengono immediatamente diraspati; dopo tre giorni di macerazione a freddo, per affinare il suo bouquet fruttato, il vino fermenta per circa 15 giorni a temperatura costante (28 - 30°C). Durante la fermentazione il mosto è a contatto con le bucce per travaso e leggera pigiatura a intervalli regolari. Si ottiene così un ottimale prelievo dei pigmenti coloranti dalle bucce e si esalta il profumo fruttato del vino. Dopo due prudenti spillature due terzi del vino subiscono un lento processo di maturazione per 18 mesi in barrique.
Descrizione:
Le sfumature rosso rubino e granato di questo Pinot Nero vanno amabilmente a braccetto col suo profumo delicato, dal sentore di mora e ciliegia, ma con piacevoli impronte di vaniglia conferite dall'affinamento in barrique. In bocca si rivela equilibrato, morbido e pieno, esprimendo tutta l'energia e la robustezza di questo vitigno.

Tenuta Castelfeder
L'azienda Castelfederer di Egna fu fondata da Alfons Giovanett più di 50 anni fa, ma da allora tutto è stato rivoluzionato. L'assortimento è stato ampliato, l'uva prodotta è stata vinificata in proprio, il lavoro in vigna è stato modernizzato e ci siamo aperti al mercato internazionale. La superficie a vite di Castelfederer è oggi di 65 ettari, sul 70% dei quali si coltivano vitigni bianchi. L'attenzione è rivolta allo Chardonnay, al Pinot bianco, al Pinot grigio e al Sauvignon. Per quanto riguarda i vitigni rossi, invece, si punta sul Pinot nero.
