Kölln organic spelt flakes are made from 100% wholegrain spelt and therefore also contain high-quality wheat germ and the precious crust layers. They are rich in fibre and contain vegetable protein.
They are a real all-rounder in the kitchen: they are excellent in muesli and porridge, but also in drinks and snacks. They are also a versatile ingredient for cooking and baking.
Spelt or spelt is a type of cereal belonging to the wheat genus and a close relative of today's common wheat. Since spelt is an ancient variety, it is also known as primordial wheat. Unlike wheat, spelt is less demanding, more stable and weather-resistant; in Germany, it is mainly cultivated in the south.
