Soft Kölln oat flakes are the classic among Kölln products and still the most popular and well-known product. They are made from oat groats - the cut grain of oats - rolled into particularly fine oat flakes and are therefore a true wholemeal product. Kölln flakes are rich in fibre and contain vegetable protein, magnesium, iron and zinc. 

They are the complete product in our portfolio and are particularly popular in porridge, fine muesli creations and in cakes, biscuits, bread and rolls. In savoury cooking, chopped dishes with 'delicate flake' are unsurpassed: just use it instead of breadcrumbs!

The Kölln family has been active in Elmshorn since 1795, and in 1820 the official start of the Peter Kölln company took place with the entry in the commercial register. What began with a horse-drawn 'Göpel' mill developed over the years into an ever larger business. From the beginning, the focus was on oats, and even today Kölln flakes are among the best known branded products in Germany. Later, other products were added: mueslis and cereals and, more recently, vegetable oils and fats.
