A real rarity from the traditional distillery SLYRS located at the beautiful Schliersee. You can order Whisky Pedro Ximénez online.

Liquid gold from Lake SLYRSee

Mighty peaks, vast fir forests and crystal-clear streams that flow into pristine mountain lakes: SLYRS is at home here on the shores of Lake Schliersee. Our inimitable nature is contained in every last drop of SLYRS. Combined with Bavarian pioneering spirit, state-of-the-art distilling and a large helping of passion, our SLYRS became what it is today: a true Bavarian. A drop of liquid gold from Lake SLYRSee. In short: a drop of home.

The name SLYRS is Gaelic and has Iro-Scottish roots. But SLYRS is Bavarian to the core. In the year 779, five monks from Ireland and Scotland build a monastery in the Bavarian wilderness of Schliersee. Adalung, Hiltupalt, Kerpalt, Antonius and Otakir call the monastery SLYRS, pronounced ‘shleers’ as in the German Schliersee.

Over the centuries, the SLYRS monastery gives its name to the entire Schliersee region and 1,220 years later to a very special, Upper Bavarian single malt whisky.
