The Beerenhof was founded by Rudolf "Rudi" Burger, "the man who whispers to the berries".

As a child he grew up on a traditional farm, typical of South Tyrol, with cows and fields of potatoes and wheat. Even then his favorite pastime was walking in the middle of nature. The fruits of the gardens and woods soon became his passion, which sparked a desire and dream: that of sooner or later having his own fields and cultivating them according to his vision.

The adventure definitely begins about 30 years ago: Rudi is about to make his life's dream come true. Together with his wife Zita, he plants the first raspberry and strawberry shrubs. In 1997 he took courage with four hands and founded the Beerenhof farm. Initially he and his wife produce syrups and fruit jams in the home kitchen, but just three years later they build the new farm, which also includes a professional laboratory.

Rudi loves to experiment and happily dedicates himself to ever-changing plants. His research also concerns plants and wild berries, and the assortment of products is constantly growing. In 2017 the company passed into the hands of his daughter Irene. Rudi and Zita continue to assist her working as before, with inexhaustible commitment, dedication and energy, because it is impossible to carry on this work alone.

There is a need for manpower, motivation, but also for new and different ideas of each individual member. And this is exactly what characterizes the Beerenhof family company.
