Silver Oak Alexander Valley
Located between the Silverado Trail and the town of Oakville, Silver Oak has always been synonymous with Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1972 by Justin Meyer and entrepreneur Ray Duncan, Silver Oak has always focused on producing food-friendly Cabernet Sauvignons that are enjoyable right out of the gate but retain excellent ageing potential.
Today, Silver Oak is the best-selling premium Californian Cabernet Sauvignon in America, and despite the many takeover bids it has received, it continues to be a family-owned business, with Ray Duncan's son David Duncan now at the helm.
