The origins of the mill in Meran/Merano bring us to Germany, where the family von Berg operated a mill already 600 years ago. Since its foundation in 1985, the mill in Lana has been characterized by its particular passion for all kinds of cereals. The selection of flours and cereals, partially gluten-free and organic, is made using highly modern machinery and is subject to strict controls in order  to provide high quality products to its customers – industrial companies, bakeries and end consumers. The organic flours are produced in a separate mill. Special emphasis is placed on the cultivation of old varieties and the research and development of new products. Furthermore, since 1996 organic feed from corn, oats, barley, rye and wheat has been produced at the plant in Lana.
