Le Piane Winery
A group of international financiers, composed primarily of wine lovers as well as professionals in the sector, has subsidized a long-term wine project, which takes the name of "Le Piane" and is led by a team of five experts, who they constantly follow all the production processes, starting from the vineyard to arrive at the final marketing. We are in Novara, in the lands of the newly created Boca designation of origin. It is here that Christoph Kuenzli manages the "Le Piane" winery, formerly belonging to Antonio Cerri, an elderly local winemaker who has chosen to leave the "Campo alle Piane", the core of his estate, now enlarged and including in total eight hectares of vineyards. Between the rows there are the autochthonous vine varieties of nebbiolo (called in these areas "spanna") and vespolina. On soils rich in gravel on the surface and above all taking advantage of a particularly favorable microclimate for the cultivation of vines, each agronomic choice is adopted with the utmost respect for the balance of the environment, nature, biodiversity and the ecosystem. Here then is that punctually, from harvest to harvest, those that are harvested are healthy and straightforward grapes, rich and concentrated in every smallest organoleptic nuance.
