Description

Description:
Due to the unfiltered bottling, the Abraham Art Pinot Blanc impresses with a matt yellow-green color in the glass. The complex, lively bouquet is reminiscent of ripe fruit such as apple, pear and lemon, combined with a light earthy component that comes from the mineral soils. On the palate, the wine appears full-bodied and creamy, with spicy notes accompanied by fine acidity. It impresses with a mineraly, long-lasting fruity finish.

Grape varierty:
Pinot Blanc - South Tyrol Alto Adige IGT Weinberg Dolomiten.

Production area:
The vineyard "In der Låmm" is located in Eppan in the hamlet of Weißhaus at approx. 500m above sea level. The airy hillside location, facing west, is very sun-kissed and allows the grapes to ripen optimally. Moraine soils from the last Ice Age predominate here, mixed with volcanic rock made of very mineral-rich quartz porphyry. In the penumbra of the Pergola the Pinot Bianco releases fruity, complex and elegant aromas, which carries the origin of this special location in itself. The deep-rooted vines do not need artificial irrigation and transport a variety of mineral taste components that make this wine unique.

Vinification:
The Abraham Art is picked from a selection of the best-ripened grapes. Only small, loose grapes from the oldest vines are used for this selection. The gentle pressing and natural clarification through sedimentation is followed by spontaneous, very slow fermentation with natural yeasts in new 500 l oak barrel. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is stored on the coarse yeast for 24 months.

Food pairing:
The Weissburgunder is a versatile food companion, particularly suitable with Mediterranean cuisine, sea fish, white meats and savory cheeses.

Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C. In order to develop its full potential, the wine needs time to breathe.

Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.

Bottle to:
1500 ml - 150 cl - 1,5 lt. Magnum bottle

Allergens:
Wine can contain sulphites.

Producer:
Abraham Winery
The family business Winery Abraham in St. Michael / Eppan was founded by Martin Abraham and Marlies Pohl Abraham with the aim of processing their own grapes into high-quality wines. Martin and Marlies Abraham are winemakers by conviction. They live their passion. They use the knowledge and creative power of their ancestors as the foundation of their actions today. Now it is their turn to carry this deep-rooted passion forward. THE FUTURE NEEDS A GENUINE. Working with nature means compromising. Again and again new areas of tension arise between acting and letting go. This tightrope walk is a daily challenge. When you inhale the scent of rain-soaked earth, you will become aware of the uniqueness and diversity of this terroir. In the west of the vineyards we find dolomite rock, limestone marl, red clay and sand from the debris cone of the Mendel Mountains. In the east, moraine soils from the last ice age are predominant, mixed with volcanic rock made of quartz porphyry with a very high mineral content.
