Description

Description: 
Straw yellow, the nose expresses beautiful mineral hints flanked by notes of hay, lemon peel, vanilla, grapefruit and tarragon. On the palate it is sapid and elegant, rich and well balanced between structure and finesse. Closes with a slightly vegetal finish, particularly fresh. 

Grape variety: 
100% Sauvignon. 

Production area:
Mango vineyard. Sandy soil with vines over 30 years old. 500 m a.s.l. 

Vinification: 
alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in new 2,000 liter French oak barrels. Aging in the same barrels for 12 months. After further refinement of 24 months in steel barrels. Bottling 42 months after harvest. 

Matching: 
Also as an aperitif, it goes well with delicate vegetable-based appetizers, velvety and soups. Excellent with a steamed asparagus dish. 

Serving temperature: 
10 - 12°C. 

Ageing potential: 
20 years.

The Azienda Agricola SPINETTA covers an area of 23 hectares and grows grapes for all its own wines on the hills around Faenza, in Romagna. The owner, Mr. Monti Luciano, runs his estate with dedication and with the utmost care; he follows with remarkable competence the whole process of production of his wines. He relies on a good group of experts, including the renowned enologist Mr. Sergio Ragazzini, who has been awarded for many wines, among which are those from the SPINETTA estate.
