Description: La Bora Chardonnay has a beautiful straw yellow colour, very intense and bright. The nose is complex, with interesting fruity notes alternating with aromatic herbal scents. The palate is medium-bodied, with a smooth elegance and a buttery, almost tactile, but also spicy and refreshing sip. A wine with unique aromas, a wine with great charm, a white wine with an earthy flavour that highlights the terroir of the Friulian Karst. Can accompany an entire menu.
Grape variety: Chardonnay - Venezia Giulia IGT.
Production area: The vines are grown using the Guyot method at an altitude of about 250 metres above sea level, on a subsoil rich in red earth and rocks.
Vinification: The alcoholic fermentation of the grapes takes place in barriques, without maceration. This is followed by ageing in three phases: 12 months in barriques, 24 months in steel tanks and a further 72 months in bottle.
Food pairing: Goes well with starters with cold meats, risotto with vegetables, with pasta with fish or tomato sauce, but also with white fish soups and with braised white meat.
Serving temperature: 12 - 14°C.
Ageing potential: more than 10 years.

The red soil is obtained by digging the bottom of the doline and by grinding the rock of the Karst. A land that thanks to the sea breeze and the bora wind, gives a uniqueness to its products which are distinctly characterized by its acidity, minerality, and salinity. My cellar has been constructed on various levels with a depth of 18 meters down the excavated rock. One uniqueness of these cellars is a large wooden door facing the North-East, allowing the Bora to naturally enter the cellars which together with the natural Karst rock, create an optimum temperature and humidity for the wines. This makes it an ideal cradle for the selection and aging of the best vintages in bottle.
