Description: 
The flagship red blend „Kermesse“ presents an intense ruby color and layered nose of red berries, sour cherries, violet, black pepper and black tea over a subtle smoky/roasted aroma. Powerful, yet elegant und harmonic on the palate, with well integrated tannins, delicate toast aromas and spicy fullness, with much potential and a long finish. A wine with lots of finesse and character. 

Grape variety: 
Petit Verdot, Syrah, Lagrein, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon - Vino Rosso d'Italia. 

Production area: 
Vineyard "Plon", a steep slope above Tramin/Termeno, as well as the two Crú vineyards Vigna "Castel Ringberg" overlooking Lake Kaltern/Caldaro and Vigna "Kastelaz", the southern steep slope in Tramin/Termeno. 

Vinification: 
All grape varieties but the Cabernet Sauvginon (which tends to ripen later) get harvested on the same day and are processed all together. The must ferments for approximately 10 days in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and maturation for 18 months in French oak barriques (Limousine and Allier), almost all of which are new. Finally, the wine matures for several months in the bottle before being released. 

Food pairing: 
It goes well with dark meat and game. 

Serving temperature: 
16 - 18°C.

more than 15 years.
