Description:
Color: deep ruby-red. Nose: seductive aromas of blackberries and dark cherries, along with hints of cedars and forest from the one year of aging in French barriques. Taste:
the wine is dry and full-bodied, which bilance harmoniously with its firm tannic backbone and distinct dark flavors, which persist well into the finish.
Grape variety:
55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Savignon.
Production area:
the best Vineyard areas of the DOC of Breganze. Volcanic and tuffaceous hills.
Vinification:
manual selection of the clusters and fermentation in stainless steel containers, sever days of maceration. Half of the wine aged for one year in stainless steel tanks and half in French oak barriques, 1/3 new oak.
Food pairing:
Nice pairing with first corse with meat ragout, reasted or grilled meat and hearty stews.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.

For three generations the Maculan family has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes in Breganze, an enchanting village at the foot of the Asiago high plains, where the extremely mild climate favors the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The hills of Breganze provide an idea soil for grape varieties such as Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, tai and Vespaiolo and the production of very high quality wines.
