Production area:
Neumarkt/Egna - South Tyrolean Unterland. The vineyard where the Gewürztraminer grows lies on the orographically right side of the Adige on a porphyry ledge. The soil consists mainly of marl limestone and sandstone. Here at 500 m a.s.l. this autochthonous grape variety finds the ideal conditions to develop optimally.
Vinification:
The grapes are pressed and then fermented and aged only in steel barrels.

The term Glassier« from the Latin enclosure« indicated properties which, like the Glassierhof, were bounded by a circular wall. The farm, known for being built in 1663, has been in the family for nine generations. Its primary objective is the quality of the wines. Quality can only be achieved if all wine production processes, from cultivation to bottling, are carefully observed. That is why this farm is managed according to organic guidelines. True quality begins in the vineyard. This work and tradition will continue in the future and the range of wines, consisting of Lagrein, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Schiava, Sauvignon and a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, will continue to be elaborated to the best of our knowledge and in harmony with nature.
